Look beyond the portrait
Consider whether the character sounds outgoing, reserved, playful or analytical. An occupation can supply a natural opening: planning a trip with a photographer creates a different scene from meeting an architect at an exhibition.
For a romantic conversation, make the relationship clear and keep every character an adult. You can also use an AI girlfriend for casual conversation and fictional roleplay without treating the character as a real-world partner.

A ready-made character lets you begin with an existing identity. A custom character lets you choose compatible appearance and personality details of your own. Check creation limits before building several versions.

Try an opening such as: We meet at a quiet bookstore after both reaching for the same travel guide. Introduce your character and give the AI something specific to answer.
